Position: Operating Room Scheduling Clerk – Grade 6
Location: Kaiser Permanente, – Roseville, CA
The Surgery Scheduling
The coordinator is tasked for booking all elective and semi-urgent cases in the North Valley. Coordinate physician’s schedule with the clinic, OR and some other physician’s. Efficiently maintain requests for surgery with updates.
Operating Room Scheduling Clerk Essential Functions:
Re-schedule and cancel surgeries for numerous service lines sometimes working in a very fast-paced setting. Establish and maintain physician Operating Room schedules.
Utilization of the operating room by appropriately booking the correct type of surgery cases by priority and time period. Open, delete and modify physician operating room and clinic schedules.
Changes to the appropriate personnel and other departments.

Patients as determined by physician procedures and department policies. Must be courteous, flexible, have a positive attitude with members, physicians, staff and visitors or family.
Problem -solve issues and the ability to maintain a detailed record and statistics with few directions. Submit monthly statistical reports on Excel. As necessary, write letters to members concerning surgery issues.

- Exhibit effective
Verbal and written communications skills to be able to effectively communicate with customers, coworkers, and various departments in the medical offices, hospital and across California region. Work as a team member to assist the Surgery Scheduling Department.
Operating Room Scheduling Clerk Basic Qualifications:
- Three years in a healthcare environment is preferred.
- High school diploma.
- Advanced Word
- Processing skills required.
- Microsoft Office required.
- Preferred experience with a computerized surgical or clinical appointment system in a position which reflects knowledge and skills in these areas: PARRS and HealthConnect
- Skills Testing: Medical Terminology, Advanced Microsoft Word, Typing 40 WPM, Advanced Microsoft Excel.
